12 Days of Prayer & Worship

Day 1

Stand strong against the forces of evil.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Blessed are You Lord God the creator of all things, King of the Universe and Sovereign Ruler over all. For You stretched forth the heavens like a tent and established the earth. Truly there is none like our Lord and King Jesus! What a privilege and joy it is to have the freedom in Christ to draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy to find help in time of need.

Holy Father, as the days get darker and the wickedness of the world increases with evil, hypocrisy and hatred, help us to realize that there is an increasing need to draw near to You in prayer and in Your Word to remain protected under the shadow of Your wings. We pray for unity in the body of Christ and in our country.

As we live in this physical, tangible, visible world, we find it difficult to remember that there is a spiritual, intangible, invisible realm where the forces of evil are planning our destruction and plotting temptations for the people of God. Lord, we pray that our awareness and understanding of the spiritual warfare would increase, and equip us in Christ to stand strong against the forces of evil, fully suited with the spiritual armor of God, which alone is able to protect us from the enemy’s viscous attacks. Thank You, that Your plans and purposes will never fail and may we never ever forget that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

We declare Isaiah 54:17 that No weapon formed against us shall prosper, and You Lord will refute every tongue that accuses us. This is our heritage of the servants of the LORD, and our vindication is from the LORD!

Your word tells is in 2 Kings 6 when Elisha is told about the massive army camped outside the city, and sees the fear in his servant’s eyes, he tells him, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then he prays for the Lord to open the eyes of his servant. Then he saw the angel armies all around their enemies! Thank you Lord that You go before us and You stand behind us so that we have nothing to fear in this world! Nothing can separate us from Your love!

Strengthen me O Lord with the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, so that I may be protected against the deceptive teachings and doctrines of demons that lead so many astray. In Christ alone, may we hold fast, knowing that it is in Him alone that our victory over the world!

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Saviour!

Day 2

Praise the Lord with a thankful heart.

Dear Gracious Heavenly Father,

Blessed are You Adonai, King of the Universe, Who brings about everything by Your holy word, Who creates all things for Your glory, Whose mighty power fills the universe and causes all things to work together for good to those called according to Your purpose.  Blessed be the name of the LORD both now and forevermore! From where the sun rises to where it sets, the name of the LORD is praised. The LORD is exalted over all the nations, His glory above the heavens! Psalm 113:2-4

Abba Father, from you we receive countless abundant blessings, and You graciously deliver us from evil. We pray, through your Spirit give us grace and peace to receive your gifts with thankful hearts and point our hearts toward heaven as we fix our eyes on You and not the things of this world.

Lord, we confess and repent for our selfishness, ungratefulness, and self-righteousness and ask Your forgiveness for feeling bitter, angry and wanting for more.  May the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, to which we were called in one body and commanded to be thankful, and may we not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving, make our requests known to You and give us the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Help us Lord, to lean on Your amazing and sufficient grace when we feel weak, and not become discouraged or dismayed with the chaotic circumstances around us, but may we fully rest in Your perfect Shalom peace, being renewed by Your Spirit every moment of the day.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Father God, we specifically praise You and thank you for the outpouring of support yesterday collecting handwritten letters for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and we pray in agreement that they will be received with open hearts, open minds, open ears and humility as they read the pleas from their constituents. We pray in the name of Jesus that these letters would make a difference in the decisions made for Arizona’s election, and that all evil and deceitful schemes would be exposed.  We trust You Lord for the outcome, and pray that Your will be done.

We commit these prayers into Your hands in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Savior, our Redeemer, our King!

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods!  Psalm 95:1-3

Day 3

Do not grow weary of doing good.

Dear Almighty Father,

Blessed are You Lord God of Heaven, King of the Universe, and the Creator of all things You are good! I will exalt you, my God the King; Every day, I will praise Your name for ever and ever. Great are You LORD Whose greatness no one can fathom. I will meditate on Your wonderful works. They tell of the power of Your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate Your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of Your righteousness. You, O LORD are so gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The LORD is good to all; You have compassion on all You have made.

Lord, we pray let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. When we begin to feel overwhelmed and weary, let us remember that very good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with Whom there is no change or shifting shadow. May we be found faithful choosing to do good when we do not feel like it, and even feel like giving up.

Lord, we confess and repent when we grow tired and weary of doing good.  When we turn our eyes from You and focus on our circumstances, even knowing that You Lord, are sovereign King over all.  Nothing comes to us without being filtered through Your sovereign hand. Help us Lord, to follow Your lesson in Luke to love our enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and You promise our reward will be great, and we will be sons of the Most High; for You Lord Jesus endured death and was kind to ungrateful and evil men. On the cross, You prayed for your enemies saying “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.” You were buried, and rose again on the third day victorious over evil!  It is finished!

Psalm 37 commands us to trust in the Lord and do good and dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. To depart from evil and do what is good, while seeking and pursuing peace.

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. You Lord change the times and seasons; You remove kings and establish them. You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Lord of Hosts, You reveal the deep and hidden things and know what lies in darkness, and only light dwells with You. You are GOOD ALL THE TIME!  You are our strength when we are weak, and we can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength!

We commit these prayers into Your hands in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Savior, our Redeemer, our King!

Day 4

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Dear Almighty Father,

Blessed are You Lord God, Master of the Universe, for You are marvelously omnipotent having all infinite and limitless power over creation. You LORD are my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? You are the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me, Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, all those who practice it have a good understanding. We praise Your name forever!

Loving Father, we confess and repent for our lack of reverence and trembling fear of Your holiness.We confess that we often have more concern over what other people think of us, for our people pleasing tendencies, jealously of others, being easily offended, and giving into peer pressure rather than taking a stand for what is good, true, and righteous. We rely more on self-preservation and building our self-esteem, rather than acting in reverent submission that leads to obedience.

We rejoice in the truth of Your Word that teaches us that the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding. Thank you Lord that we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear, what can man do to me?”

Help us Lord, to seek You earnestly in whatever we do, working heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Give us strength Heavenly Father, not to be afraid of bad news, may our hearts be firm, trusting in You Lord God, casting all our anxieties on You, because we are Your children and You care for us. We proclaim Your truth that He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world!

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us in Matthew 10, “Do not be afraid of them, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing is secret that will not be made known. What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light, and what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

We live in confidence that, if You Lord are for us, who can be against us? May we walk in boldness and courage, with no reason to fear because You are on our side even until the end of the age. Help us to put to death the fear of man and grow in the fear of the Lord.

Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Is 41:10

Day 5

The weapons of our warfare.

Dear God Almighty, El-Shaddai,

You are all-sufficient and all powerful, the source of all blessings. You Lord are my rock and my fortress, a strong tower, my deliverer in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation and we thank you Adonai that no one can ever snatch us from Your mighty hand. Only in You do we find our rest.

Almighty Father, Your word reminds us thatwe do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Lord You are faithful and we pray for Your strength and protection, and that You would deliver us from evil and from all those who call good evil and evil good.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Lord, we confess and repent that we allow and welcome enemy invaders into the battlefield of our mind through focusing our attention on worthless things, choosing worry and anxiety over the truth of Your word, and filling our minds with information that brings no wisdom and understanding.Forgive us Lord for becoming consumed with the things of this world, and today we choose to be transformed by the renewing of our minds and reject every thought that comes from the enemy and against the knowledge of Jesus Christ.Thank you for Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Thank you Lord for our spiritual battle armor that equips us to stand firm when our enemies come against us. We stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around our waist in which we hang our weapons, the breastplate of righteousness in place protecting our heart, and our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

We take up the shield of faith, with which can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, and the helmet of salvation protecting our minds,and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

May we pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, may we be sober and alert with sound mind, always praying for all the Lord’s people.

By the majesty of Your name Jesus Christ our Saviour and the power of Your blood, bring us victory against every evil planned against us.

Day 6

Stay grounded in truth, the only truth.

Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages.  Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to Your name?  For you alone are holy and true.

You are Yahweh-Rohi, the Lord is my Shepherd, Who knows all and sees all and leads me in all truth and guides my path in righteousness. You are the Truth, the Way and the Life.

Your holy word promises in Jeremiah 33:3, if we call on You, You will answer me, and show me great and mighty unsearchable things, which I do not know. Help me Lord, discern what is truth and keep me from deception.

Soveriegn Lord, we confess and repent that we are sometimes tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine.  The lies and deception permeate our world, and with the constant flood of misinformation, we easily become lost in deception.  Help us Lord to be grounded in Your truth and may we be firmly planted, praying fervently that we are not deceived by the lies of the enemy.

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived, the things You have prepared for those who love You; the things You have revealed to us by Your Spirit, the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. Only You Lord reveal absolute truth and You continually warn us in Your Word to not be deceived, to not believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Lord Jesus, You promise us if we abide in Your word, we are truly my disciples, and we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free.

We praise Your holy name, the name above all names, Jesus Christ our Messiah, the only truth in which we stand firm.  To You be all the glory, honor and praise forever and ever!

Day 7

Stand firm, being bold and courageous, and do not be afraid.

Sovereign Lord, You reign forever and ever clothed in majesty with strength as Your belt. O Lord Most Hight, You established the world and it shall never be moved. You are exalted above all and Your glory is above the heavens!

Father, Your holy word commands and encourages us to be strong and courageous, let our hearts not be troubled, be not dismayed or discouraged, be on the alert, do not be deceived, and be not afraid!  When we call on You Almighty God, You answer us and the strength of my soul is increased.

When my soul is weary and overcome with sorrow, strengthen me according to Your word and Your eternal promises.  For You give supernatural strength to the weary and only You increase the power of the weak.

Lord we pray fervently that we would stand firm, allowing nothing to move us, always giving ourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because we know our labor is not in vain.  May we be found steadfast, immovable, and standing firm on Christ our Solid Rock for all other ground is sinking sand.

Father, we confess and repent for the times when we allow fear and intimidation to prevent us from obedience to Your word, and doing what we know is right. May we have the faith of David, boldly confronting Goliath, trusting You to go before us and stand behind us in the face of adversity. In the mighty name of Jesus, we ask that the schemes of the enemy to keep us isolated and separated from others in fear, would be thwarted and defeated. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we will not allow the evil one to isolate, intimidate, discourage, confuse and deceive us.

May we place all our trust in You Lord, confident that You will give us the strength and courage we need when faced with fear, because You are with us and You are for us and the victory is won! For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith!

Precious Lord Jesus, You strengthen us with Your word: My peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  We commit this prayer into Your hands in the powerful name of Jesus Christ our King.

He Will Hold Me Fast – Lyrics

When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold through life’s fearful path;
For my love is often cold; He must hold me fast.

He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.

Those He saves are His delight, Christ will hold me fast;
Precious in his holy sight, He will hold me fast.
He’ll not let my soul be lost; His promises shall last;
Bought by Him at such a cost, He will hold me fast.

He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.

For my life He bled and died, Christ will hold me fast;
Justice has been satisfied; He will hold me fast.
Raised with Him to endless life, He will hold me fast
‘Till our faith is turned to sight, When He comes at last!

He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.

Day 8

We will overcome!

O God, you are my God! Earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh faints for You, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary, beholding Your power and glory. Because Your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live, in Your name I will lift up my hands!

Heavenly Father, we have so much to be thankful for and we give You all the glory honor and praise.  Today, we specifically thank You for the mighty work You are doing in our great country.

Thank you for the pardoning of General Michael Flynn, for Sidney Powell, L. Wood, Jenna Ellis and Rudy Guiliani and all those working behind the scenes to expose the darkness and uncover truth.  Lord, we pray for Your sovereign protection over them as they fight to save our nation from tyranny and those who wish evil upon us.

Thank you for all the brave American patriots who were bold and courageous to come forward with their testimony and affidavits. May You bless them Father for their faithfulness.

We ask Father, that you would continue to guide and protect everyone working to save America.  As we stand boldly to proclaim truth, may Your word give us strength and courage to press on toward victory.

We pray for President Trump, our First Lady Melania and the entire Trump family for their protection from Your mighty angels surrounding them at all times, renew their strength to persevere through this tribulation knowing that You Lord, have ordained each day by Your sovereign hand.

Father, we pray for the public hearing to take place on Monday in Arizona.  In Jesus name, we ask in faith that truth would be revealed and our representatives would have the fear of God, and throw off the fear of man that they may stand in boldness to proclaim and reveal the truth the enemy is trying to twist and conceal.  May the enemy be confused, perplexed and trampled to the ground and defeated extinguishing the darkness by shining Your light of truth. May those who are blinded have their eyes opened and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

May we not grow weary of doing good, knowing that whatever we do, we work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord we will receive the inheritance as our reward. We are serving the Lord Christ alone, and it is in HIs mighty name we pray and commit these things into Your hands.

Day 9

Focus Your Mind on Jesus

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless Your holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and may I not forget not all Your benefits, who forgives all my iniquity, who heals all my diseases, who redeems my life from the pit, who crowns me with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies me with good so that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Thank you Lord, that You are not the author of confusion, but of peace and order, and You have give us the gift of prayer in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior as the cure for chaos, a confused mind, a weary burdened soul, and a broken heart.

Holy Father, Your word warns us to be alert and of sober mind because our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour and we are not to be unaware of his evil schemes. We are to submit ourselves completely to You O God, and resist the devil, and he will flee.

Lord Almighty, in this world of increasing chaos and confusion, I come to You with an overwhelmed mind and swirling thoughts of doubt and anxiety. Forgive me for allowing my mind to be focused on wanting to know the future, and giving into fear about the uncertainty of what is to come. Deception and corruption encircle us and lies from the enemy flood our thoughts, but You Lord are good and we trust in Your sovereign plan.

Protect and guide us as we pray for Your will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day, our daily bread and may we not seek for tomorrow’s manna, as we rest and trust in You and You alone today. Help me Lord, to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, remaining alert, watchful and connected to You through the Word and prayer and not to fall into spiritual slumber, knowing that the days are evil.

Lord Jesus, You existed before all things, and in You all things hold together. You are the creator and sustainer of all!

Thank You Lord, that I am Your blood-bought child and nothing can separate me from Your love. You are my Rock, my Redeemer, my Deliverer!

“I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:1-3

Day 10

Deliver Us From Evil

El Shaddai, Lord God Almighty, our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble, therefore we will not fear! You are the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end, and Lord Jesus You hold all things together. Jehovah Shammah, You are with us, You never change, Your promises never fail and when we are faithless, You are always faithful.

Today, we humbly bow before Your throne lifting up those who are being ensnared by the enemy. Your Word reminds us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places, therefore we pray the Word of God for protection over the righteous and justice for our enemies, for Your Word says vengeance is Mine, I will repay says the Lord.

Abba Father, we lift up President Trump and his family, Sidney Powell, Rudy Guiliani, Jenna Ellis, Lin Wood, Joe Digenova, Georgia Senate candidates David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, all witnesses who testified and are being threatened, for the Republican senators who were threatened with body bags at their doorsteps, and for all those who are working tirelessly in this fight to protect the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic. May they all draw closer to You, taking up the shield of faith, which can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Deliver them, O Lord, from our enemies for it is in You they take shelter. Shelter them from the evil plans of our enemies, and may the wicked not succeed in the evil schemes they have against us. Thank you Lord Jesus, for the powerful words You spoke telling us “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.”

May no weapon formed against them prosper, and every tongue that accuses them in judgment, Lord God Almighty will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me, declares the LORD.

Although their enemies have set a trap, and they are weary from distress, may the evildoers who dug a pit for the righteous fall into their own trap. Let God arise and may our enemies be scattered! Through You Lord God, we will push back our adversaries, through Your Holy name we will trample down those who rise up against us and You have put to shame those who hate us.

We pray for the enemy’s plans to be exposed and for Holy Spirit to convict those who have committed sins during this election, compelling them to REPENT and come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We trust You Lord for our protection and deliverance from evil, and we will not fear man as we commit these things into Your hands in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 57:6 My enemies have set a trap for me. I am weary from distress. They have dug a deep pit in my path, but they themselves have fallen into it.

Psalm 59:1 – Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men. See how they lie in wait for me!

Psalm 68:1 – Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, And let those who hate Him flee before Him.

Psalm 44:5-7 – Through You we will push back our adversaries; Through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us. For I will not trust in my bow, Nor will my sword save me. But You have saved us from our adversaries, And You have put to shame those who hate us.

Psalm 18:47-49 the God who avenges me and subdues nations beneath me, who delivers me from my enemies. You exalt me above my foes; You rescue me from violent men. Therefore I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name.

Psalm 9:3 – When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish before You.

Psalm 60:12 Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. With God we will perform with valor, and He will trample our enemies.

Day 11

His Mercy Is More

O Sovereign Faithful Lord, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, long-suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, You continuously pour out Your mercy and forgive us for our iniquities and sin.

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, Your promises never fail and Your mercies are new every morning.  Great is Thy Faithfulness! You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and graciously abundant in mercy and truth. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth go before Your face.

Thank you Lord God for not giving us what we deserve, instead You have shown us mercy again and again from our country’s founding until this very day. You Lord are able to do the impossible when it comes to the restoration and healing of our Nation, and we ask that You would draw the heart of the Nation back to You and the truth of Your Word. Father God, we pray for a powerful move of Your Holy Spirit to come upon this Nation, and that we would become so horrified by the depths of our sin, rebellion, and unbelief that we would cry out to You in repentance for deliverance.

Merciful Father, we confess and repent for our wickedness as a nation.

We confess that the liberty You so graciously blessed us with, has become a license to sin and do as thou wilt in the hearts of many. Our culture mocks You, the sanctity of marriage and the life of the unborn have been attacked, prayer and Your Word have been banned from schools, sexual sin is glorified, and the American church is spiritually bankrupt.  We thank You that this beautiful country was founded on Christian virtues and our founding fathers sought to protect this One Nation Under God, acknowledging that our rights come from Almighty God and not men.  O forgive us Lord for how far we have fallen, and we boldly ask for an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to come upon this land causing true hearts of repentance, and that many would be saved!

Your Word tells us If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  Have mercy on America we pray!

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. We need You Lord, please save America!

“Lord, you poured out blessings on your land! You restored the fortunes of Israel. You forgave the guilt of your people— yes, you covered all their sins. You held back your fury. You kept back your blazing anger. Now restore us again, O God of our salvation. Put aside your anger against us once more. Will you be angry with us always? Will you prolong your wrath to all generations? Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.”

Psalm 85:1-7

Day 12

Expose the Works of Darkness

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the defense of my life, whom shall I dread?

For the Lord God is a sun and a shield, giving grace and glory, and withholding no good thing from those who walk with integrity. Almighty Creator, Your glorious light is the beginning and pinnacle of creation. Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Lord of all creation, Your light pierces the darkness and Your perfect love casts out all fear and overcomes evil, shining visible hope in a hopeless world immersed in fear, strife and confusion.

Your Holy Word tells us that we are all children of light, children of the day, we are not of the night or of the darkness, and we walk by faith not by sight. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, who came to destroy the works of the devil.

Heavenly Father, You command us Lord to take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Lord Jesus, we pray for Your light to be mightily shown over the corruption happening in our country and pray for the darkness to be exposed and destroyed.

Lord, please give us courage to live in confidence that victory over darkness has already been won because of Your blood sacrifice on the cross, Your death, burial, and resurrection that we can live victorious and without fear knowing You have won!

Holy Spirit we pray that hearts are convicted of wrongdoing and the wicked would seek repentance and come forward to expose the hidden works of darkness in our government and those participating in fraud, illegal activity and deception.

For at one time we were in darkness, but now we are light in the Lord, help us Lord to walk as children of light!

Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

In Christ, we are also the light of the world, a town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

O God, restore us, and cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved, for we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for Your own possession, that we may proclaim the excellencies of You who called us out of darkness into Your marvelous light.

Thank you for Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, who came in the flesh over 2,000 years ago and we wait for Your Second Coming when evil will be banished forever and there will be no need of sun or moon to shine, because the glory of God illuminates, and the Lamb is its lamp. Until that day, may we be found faithful walking as Your light in a dark world.
